positive thinking

reduce-stress-clutteredOne of the most powerful ways to reduce stress is to realize our lives are cluttered with thoughts, reactions, habits…

That stem from what others think we should do. Not from our passion or inspiration of what we choose to create and experience.

How much time do you spend a day doing things you think you “Should” do to please someone else’s idea of success or what they think you should do?

How much time do you spend a day looking for things in your home or office because your environment is cluttered with things that don’t really support what you really want to be and feel?

How much of your day is spent putting out fires, dealing with things that you label as urgent but are not really important to you?

What steps will you take this week to reduce stress and release the cluttered feeling of spending your day with thoughts, to do’s, and habits that don’t move you  forward to what you want to create.

Come up with 3 steps that will make your life flow:

1.

2.

3.

What you are really doing is coming up with steps to let go of doing things that keep you cluttered in mind, space, and habit. You are making the choice to reduce stress on your inner brilliance.

Stress you have been putting on yourself because you have forgotten what You want to create in life and to experience… and instead have been putting the focus on what you think you should want.

Its time to give yourself permission to ask yourself-

What do I really want to create and experience in every area of my life…

What is important to me… that makes my heart sing?

What will I fill my day with so that my thoughts, my environment, and my rhythm in life expresses what I say I want to create?

Take a moment to let me know what steps you come up with and how it let you reduce stress and the cluttered feeling that you had before. Steps you have engaged in to make your day more fun, rewarding, inspiring. I would love to hear about your ideas.

A good way to get started setting goals is to figure out where you arepersonal-goal-setting
right now.

What do you like in your life and work and what don’t you like.

It’s important to answer both sides of the question because the contrast will help you see where you want to go and give you ideas for goals and actions to take that will help you get there.

There are numerous books, articles, surveys out there. Interviewing successful people to ask them what their secrets to success are. Attitude it top among those lists.

inner-voice

Following your inner compass, your inner voice will pull you to the present moment, away from worrying and give you lasting stress relief from the pressures you are feeling.

“What lies behind us, and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

NOW is the only real moment you can affect in your life!
“The past is history.  The future’s a mystery. The present is perfect…that’s why they call it a gift.” So why do we spend so much time ruminating over could-a, should-a, would-a’s?

We worry of the future and spend little if any time thinking about RIGHT NOW.
I believe this thinking may exist in part [click to continue reading…]
