choose your own change

“You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement.
You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand.”
~ Woodrow Wilson

This wonderful quote is a call to action for all of you who have a small business but are playing too small. This can be the case whether you have been in business for 2 months or 10+ years.

If you are generating $100 or $500,000+ in profits, or if you do everything yourself or have subcontracted specialists like web designers or virtual assistants… to help you run your small business.

A truly thriving small business is an energetic representation of you. It continues to change and grow mirroring your own leaps in awareness and zest for the gifts you can share with the world.

The clearer your focus on a big vision the clearer line of attraction you are able to open up, allowing more success and enjoyment to flow to you. Your courage, your passion, your work is an inspiring example for others to make the choice to do the same thing and stop thinking small.

What new projects or big vision plans have you been putting off?

Are your success intentions for your income to be comfortable or to be wealthy?

Now if you read that last question and thought to yourself- wealthy! I just want to be comfortable… or being wealthy would be being greedy… or any other thoughts along that line I would like to suggest to you two things to consider.

First you may have a treasure trove of limiting beliefs that are holding you apart from truly being successful and attracting prosperity.

Because thoughts and language like that are a dead giveaway money is not easily flowing to you.

The second thought is for you to look at being wealthy from a new broader perspective.

My definition of being wealthy is to feel and be abundant both inside and out in every area of my life. Monetary, spiritual, health, wellness, emotional, relationships, my small business, my contribution to others, my relationship with myself, travel, learning new things…

I have a very clearly defined perspective of what it means to me to be Deliciously Abundant. I focus my thoughts, feelings, and actions each day to be in alignment with my definition of being deliciously abundant and allow prosperity to flow to me.

What is your new broader definition of being wealthy?

If you read the question- Are your success intentions for your income to be comfortable or to be wealthy? And thought, wealthy, definitely-

I would like to suggest two things for you to consider.

First, what big vision plans are you getting ready to incorporate into your small business that will allow you to be of service to more people, to enrich the world?

The second thought is for you to stretch your thinking. To move beyond the regular scope of small business planning to thinking about creating a vision that starts with you but moves way beyond your life time.

What can your passion and your definitions of being deliciously abundant coalesce to create?

What is that bigger vision that has been brewing in your heart to be expressed?

the-art-of-listeningWe can all become masters in the art of listening.

We can deepen the richness and expand the colors in the palette that we use to paint the canvas of our lives.

We can discover the nuance and fluidity of expression and emotion that encompasses true connection and conversation.

When we realize the art of listening is something that we have just forgotten and can rediscover.

Are you ready to rediscover the art of listening that is innate within you?

When we are talking in a conversation and our ears are hearing the words and sounds coming out of the other person’s mouth… but are we listening to what they are saying?

Listening involves the whole person.

We need to listen with our whole bodies just as someone speaks using their whole body.

Here are a few questions to get you thinking about your listening skills. Look them over and then really listen to the people who are communicating with you.

  1. When you are in a conversation are you really listening or are you waiting for the other person to stop talking so you can say the thing you just thought of to say while they were talking?
  2. Do you allow a pause after the other person stops talking? Leave a pause and listen to what is being said in the silence.
  3. Do you listen with an agenda? Judging the other person and what they are saying, or maybe thinking of ways to “Fix” it?
  4. Do you listen with your head or your heart? Spend the week listening with your heart.
  5. What do you hear when you listen with your heart?

Practice and refine the art of listening as you move through the canvas of your life.

You will be surprised at all of the things you hear.

change-your-life

“Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change.” ~ Wayne Dyer

What have you been looking at that you really want to be different?

Is it your life?

Is it a relationship?

Is it your income?

Is it your career? …

How can you look at this in a different way?

Make a list of all the positive things about what you want to change-

How does that change the way you look at it?

What steps can you take to attract more of these positive aspects to you now and begin to create what you really want?

It’s up to you to choose your path and what you give your attention to along that path. When you choose to look at things that interest you most, devoting your passion, intellect, and focus to that which really makes you thrive.

This changes your focus and brings everything into a new perspective and changes all that comes into your experience.

It’s important for us all to do that, to delete the things that don’t help us focus on our passion or at least delegate them so they get done and our focus remains clear.

With that in mind I made a list of two things that are clouding my focus and will decide this week if I can let them go or if I will delegate them. I feel better already because I know either way I have made the decision to no longer let them cloud my focus.

What things will you put on your list to remove from clouding your focus?

inner-voice

Following your inner compass, your inner voice will pull you to the present moment, away from worrying and give you lasting stress relief from the pressures you are feeling.

“What lies behind us, and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

NOW is the only real moment you can affect in your life!
“The past is history.  The future’s a mystery. The present is perfect…that’s why they call it a gift.” So why do we spend so much time ruminating over could-a, should-a, would-a’s?

We worry of the future and spend little if any time thinking about RIGHT NOW.
I believe this thinking may exist in part [click to continue reading…]
