What if… we spend a lot of our time what iffing, we string together a long chain of all the things that could go wrong or make life even more difficult for us.
So today lets play with making it a what if day from a positive focus.
Start moving through your day and thinking about all the wonderful what if large and small that would be delicious to come into your life today or in the next week or so.
Here are some what ifs that may be a good jumping off point:
what if… my car easily went 2 more miles for each gallon of gas I put in the tank this week
what if… the first three people I came across today greeted me with a smile and lifted my mood
what if… I found a dollar on the street when I was walking
what if… the person in front of me paid for my toll
what if… I felt a spring in my step as I moved through my day
what if… the next conversation I had gave me an inspired idea
what if… I got a rebate on one of my bills out of the blue this week
what if… I changed lanes just in time to miss the big mud puddle
what if… the wording for a project I am working on just started flowing into my mind
what if… I noticed how smooth my skill was
what if… the pictures I thought I lost suddenly showed up
what if… the project I wanted to get hired to do came through in a bigger scope
Play with these and then start focusing on ones that let you expand your thought chain and start building links in your thoughts that have you focusing on what if all these next steps of good things happened instead of the old habit or awfulizing and focusing on what ifs from a negative focus.
