Are you beating yourself up on New Years Resolution failures?

by BZ Riger

How are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions?

Have you been keeping to the goals and plans you set or are you using the change of the calendar to February to let a whole host of limiting beliefs crop up into your every day internal dialog?

These might go something like this:

“Another year, and you have already broken your resolutions”
“You are never going to get what you want, its only February and look at where you are”
“I can’t stick to this resolution what was I thinking”

This internal dialog really likes to chime in strongly in the beginning of February, mostly because if you are making even the tiniest bit of progress your subconscious mind must stick to its pyscopsybernectic mechanism and its original programing to keep your external results in line with your internal beliefs.

As we have talked about a lot in the last few months in order to be successful you need to have a high success set point, which means your beliefs must be congruent with the success you want to attract and achieve.

If you are having trouble keeping your New Year’s resolutions or finding a lot of limiting beliefs cropping up in your internal dialog. Pay attention to them just don’t stuff them down and be disappointed with your results. Use the limiting beliefs that are coming up to show you where your subconscious minds psycopsybernetic mechanism is set. So that you can consciously change the programing / settings. This will allow you to raise your success set point and let your beliefs be congruent with the results you say you want to achieve.

Adam Eason has been doing a series of articles on beliefs here are some typical limiting beliefs that are amazingly common;

“No pain – no gain.”
“I need to have lots of money to be happy.”
“I can’t trust anybody.”
“I am more unlucky than others.”
“You can’t get over a bad start in life.”
“I am too old to learn to use a computer.”
“I can’t earn more money without other people losing it.”
“I never get what I am after.”
“Other people are better than me.”
“I do not deserve to be successful.”
“I can’t get what I want.”
“I have reached my limits.”
“I need to work very hard to have enough money to live.”
“Success takes a very long time.”

This is important: These and similar beliefs are only true if you act as if they are. Suppose they are mistaken? what difference would that make? Is the difference worthwhile?

Start paying attention to the doubts and limiting beliefs that are coming up for you. Instead of letting them be roadblocks, use them as allies in on your journey to Bodacious Success. You do this by seeing what they are, where the patterns are… Then you make a conscious choice to reprogram your brain at the subconscious level so that you can have the results you really want this year.
