I had a lovely walk to my library today, the fragrance of lilacs and viburnum carlisii reaching out and kissing my senses as I walked along the pretty little streets fresh with spring green.
I love reading and I was enjoying my walk with the morning sun streaming through the leaves thinking about the books in my hand to return and the enjoyable journey I had been on while immersed in their pages.
I walked over to the new release stacks to browse, I always like to see what catches my eye.
On the top shelf was a delicious looking cupcake, a satiny bed of dark chocolate frosting topped with a sugared pansy with a bright face. Looked good enough to eat. The marketing of the cover shot hit its mark and I selected the book to take home.
Do you check in with yourself each morning and feel the aliveness flowing through you?
Do you breathe in and feel where their is discomfort in your body so that you can pay attention and release the tension, the worry…?
We seem to move so quickly through each day, thinking we will get more done, multitask more, push to make one more thing…
How’s it working for you?
Having a lot on your plate, being busy and creating many things in your day is your choice of how you move through the day, through life.
You choose the experiences that you connect with and move through. You choose the path or portal to take when it opens to you.
Most importantly you choose how you move through the experience. If having a lot on your plate… being busy is what you are choosing to create and experience remember to choose how you want to feel, to think and how you move through that experience. Rushed, harried, worried is a choice but it does not have to be yours if you choose consciously.
Take a moment to experience these three quotes and then ask yourself: how do you feel?, what do you want to experience today?, how do you choose to move through that experience?
“The most beautiful thing we experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.” ~ Albert Einstein
“The only way to know something absolutely is to experience it for yourself; anything less is theory, speculation, and belief… But the TRUTH is, I AM, therefore I think! We exist first and then express ourselves as bodies in physical dimension.” ~ Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
“For beyond all seen things lies something vaster; everything is but a path, a portal, or a window opening on something more than itself.” ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery
